DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1 ISTANBUL – BURSA (L/D)
After arriving at the Istanbul Airport, you will be visiting the historical Hippodrome of Constantinople, commonly known as the Sultan Ahmet Square, which was a social and sporting center. You will get to take some great pictures at this square before moving to the Blue Mosque, which was built in 1616. We will also be exploring the Hagia Sophia Mosque, which is important for both Muslims and Christians due to its rich history. Explore the Topkapi Palace, which has many relics like The Staff of Moses and a few belongings of Prophet Muhammad. We will drive to Bursa through the Osman Gazi Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world, and stay overnight in Bursa.
DAY 2 BURSA – KUSADASI (B/L/D)
After having a great breakfast, we will visit the renowned Turkish Delight Shop and explore the Grand Mosque, built in 1399. You will get time to shop at the Silk Bazaar and explore other popular spots in Bursa, such as the Green Mosque and Maqam. We will also be visiting the Emir Sultan Mosque and Maqam. Amir Sultan (1368 – 1429), also called Muhammad Al-Bukhari, was a well-known Islamic scholar and philosopher who lived in Bursa during the Ottoman Empire. At the end of the day, we will drive to Kusadasi and stay overnight there.
DAY 3 KUSADASI – PAMUKKALE (B/L/D)
On Day 3, we will be visiting the Leather Factory Outlet as Turkey is known for providing premium-quality leather to the world. Explore the Ephesus Ancient-Greek Roman City, one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world. We will be driving to Pamukkale, located in Western Turkey, known for its mineral-rich hot springs, Cotton Castle and beautiful scenery. You will get to explore the Hierapolis Ancient City and Cleopatra’s Ancient Pool that dates back to 190 BC. We will stay at Pamukkale for the night.
DAY 4 PAMUKKALE – KONYA – CAPPADOCIA (B/L/D)
On the 4th day of the tour, you will get to visit the Textile Factory Outlet in Pamukkale before driving to Konya to visit the Mevlana Museum. It is the mausoleum of Jalal ad-Din Mohammad Rumi, popularly known as Rumi, a highly popular Islamic scholar, Persian poet, and Sufi mystic. You will also get to visit the Shams of Tabriz Mosque and Maqam. Shams-i-Tabrizi was a Persian Sufi poet and spiritual instructor of Rumi. After driving to Cappadocia, we will have a photo stop at Seljukian Caravanserai “Sultanhani” and stay the night at Cappadocia.
DAY 5 CAPPADOCIA (B/L/D)
You may have a fantastic hot air balloon ride over the magnificent Cappadocian countryside before we visit the famous carpet factory. We’ll also visit the 20,000-person capacity Underground City, which is large and multi-levelled. After passing through the Derbent Valley, which is recognized for its breath-taking beauty and unique rock formations, one arrives at Avanos town, the hub of Cappadocia’s pottery industry. You will also get to explore Cappadocia’s highest point at the Uchisar Citadel and take some wonderful shots there before we arrive at the Pigeon Valley, which features various artificial pigeon houses carved in pliable volcanic tuff. We’ll visit the Turquoise Factory to check out the gorgeous jewellery to round out day four before returning to the hotel.
DAY 6 CAPPADOCIA – ANKARA – ISTANBUL (B/L/D)
After having breakfast, we will drive from Cappadocia to Ankara in about 3.5 hours. You will get to take great pictures at Salt Lake and make a visit to the Hacı Bayram Veli Tomb & Mosque. He was a renowned Turkish poet, founder of the Bayrami Sufi Order and also composed a number of hymns. Explore the three-story Millet Mosque that has amazing domes and visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk and Museum to see the belongings of Turkey’s first president. It will take around 4.5 hours to drive from Ankara to Istanbul, and we will stay the night there.
DAY 7 ISTANBUL (B/L/D)
In Istanbul, our first visit will be to the Camlica Mosque and Hill to see the amazing mosque and take pictures there. We will take the Bosphorus Cruise and visit the Ortakoy Village. You will also get ample time for shopping in Grand Bazaar and visit the Merkez Efendi Maqam. Merkez Efendi was a renowned Islamic scholar and Sufi during the Ottoman Empire and is known for curing different mental illnesses and providing health benefits. We will stay the night in Istanbul.
DAY 8 ISTANBUL (B)
On the 8th day of the trip, you will get to visit the Ayyub Mosque and Maqam. Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari was one of the Ansar of early Islamic history who provided support to Prophet Muhammad after the hijra (migration) to Medina in 622. After visiting the Fatih Mosque and Maqam, you will get free time for shopping in Taksim Square and Istiklal Street. Then you will go to the airport for the return flight.
