At the end of the day, we will drive to Kusadasi and stay overnight there.

DAY 3    KUSADASI - PAMUKKALE

On Day 3, we will be visiting the Leather Factory Outlet as Turkey is known for providing premium-quality leather to the world. We will be driving to Pamukkale, located in Western Turkey, known for its mineral-rich hot springs and beautiful scenery. You will get to explore the Hierapolis Ancient City and Cleopatra’s Ancient Pool that dates back to 190 BC. We will stay at Pamukkale for the night.

You will also get to visit the Shams of Tabriz Mosque and Maqam. Shams-i-Tabrizi was a Persian Sufi poet and spiritual instructor of Rumi. After driving to Cappadocia, we will have a photo stop at Seljukian Caravanserai “Sultanhani” and stay the night at Cappadocia.

DAY 5    Cappadocia

You may have a fantastic hot air balloon ride over the magnificent Cappadocian countryside before we visit the famous carpet factory. We’ll also visit the 20,000-person capacity Derinkuyu Underground City, which is large and multi-leveled. After passing through the Derbent Valley, which is recognized for its breathtaking beauty and unique rock formations, one arrives at Avanos town, the hub of Cappadocia’s pottery industry. You will also get to explore Cappadocia’s highest point at the Uchisar Citadel and take some wonderful shots there before we arrive at the Pigeon Valley, which features various artificial pigeon houses carved in pliable volcanic tuff. We’ll visit the Turquoise Factory to check out the gorgeous jewelry to round out day four before returning to the hotel.

DAY 6    CAPPADOCIA - ANKARA - ISTANBUL

He was a renowned Turkish poet and founder of the Bayrami Sufi Order. Explore the three-story Millet Mosque that has amazing domes and visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk and Museum to see the belongings of Turkey’s first president. It will take around 4.5 hours to drive from Ankara to Istanbul, and we will stay the night there.

Today we will have fantastic photo stops. Visit The Hippodrome Square, which was a trading, sporting, and social hub in Constantinople. You will also have time for shopping and taking pictures at Taksim Square and Istiklal Street. We will be driving through the old city in vintage American cars of the 60s and 70s for around 1 hour and 30 minutes to get an amazing view of the city.

Explore the Uchisar Citadel, which dates back to the 12th century and is popular for its rich history. After having lunch at a local restaurant, we will visit the Open Air Museum of Goreme, which has amazing volcanic rocks. You will get to witness a beautiful sunset at the Derbent Valley and take great photos of blooming bines at a vineyard before heading back to the hotel and staying the night at Cappadocia.

DAY 5    Cappadocia

Cappadocia has an ancient Underground City that extends to a depth of 85 meters and is built during the Byzantine era. It can support over 20000 people and a lot of livestock. You will also get to visit the Avanos Pottery Atelier, the pottery hub of Turkey. We will head back to the hotel for dinner and spend another night in Cappadocia.

DAY 6    Guzelyurt and Belisirma Villages

You will get to explore the park and take amazing photos there before we head for Canakkale, a seaport in Turkey, by taking the Ferry and traveling through Dardanelles, a narrow and natural strait. DAY 2    BURSA - PERGAMON - THYATIRA – IZMIR

The altar of Zeus overlooks the entire Pergamon Ancient City. Explore the Red Church (also known as Red Basilica), which is one of the earliest surviving Christian structures in the Roman Empire. We will drive to Akhisar and visit the Thyatira Church, which is also mentioned in the Book of Revelation 2:18 – 29. The day will end with a 1-hour, 40-minute drive to Izmir and staying overnight at a hotel in Izmir.

DAY 2    ISTANBUL – BURSA

We will have a great photo shoot at the 600 years Historical Inkaya Plane Tree and stay overnight at a nice hotel in Bursa.

DAY 3    BURSA – ISTANBUL

On day 3, we will return from Bursa to Istanbul through the Osman Gazi Bridge after visiting the Turkish Delight shop, which is famous throughout Europe. After a brief photo stop at the Maiden Tower, which was a trade hub in the old times, we will take Bosphorus Cruise and take great pictures on board. You will also get free time for shopping and capturing photos at the Grand Bazaar, one of the largest and oldest markets in the world that has over 4000 shops. We will also have a great local dinner.

DAY 1    ISTANBUL – GOBEKLITEPE – SANLIURFA

Your arrival at the Istanbul Airport will be followed by an early morning domestic flight to Urfa. We will drive for about 25 minutes from Urfa to Gobeklitepe, the world’s oldest religious construction that was built in 10,000 BCE. You will get to explore the Ataturk Dam, the world’s 4th largest dam in the world. The legendary pool of sacred fish, Saliurfa Balikligol, is another important part of this day as Jews and Muslims believe Balikligol to be the place where Nimrud threw Prophet Abraham into the fire. We will explore the surrounding religious places like the Halil-ur Rahman Mosque and the birthplace of Prophet Abraham – Maqam-i Ibrahim (Cave of Prophet Abraham). Ruins of Islam’s first university called Harran are also present that we will be exploring before staying the night at Sanliurfa.

DAY 2    SANLIURFA – ADIYAMAN

We will travel to Adiyaman after breakfast at the hotel in Sanliurfa, which will take around one hour and four minutes. The Ataturk Dam, one of the biggest dams in the world, will be the location of our picture stop. We’ll ride in a minibus to Nemrut Mountain, where we’ll see a breathtaking sunset. You will also get to enjoy great walks on the peak of the mountain and see the huge statues of the Commagene Kingdom. We’ll return to the hotel for supper, and an overnight stay at Adiyaman after these stops.

DAY 3    ADIYAMAN – DIYARBAKIR

It is one of the longest defensive walls in the world and is often compared to the Great Wall of China. You can take great pictures on these spots and stay the night at Diyarbakir.

DAY 4    DIYARBAKIR – VAN

This morning, depart early from Diyarbakir and go to the North East, stopping to see the Akdamar Church along the way close to Van. To go to Akdamar Island in Lake Van, we will board a small boat. The biggest lake in both Turkey and the Armenian Highlands is Lake Van. The Cathedral of the Holy Cross, also known as Akdamar Church, is a medieval Armenian Apostolic cathedral that was first constructed as a palatine church for the Vaspurakan monarchs and afterward used to house the Catholicosate of Akdamar. Visit Van Castle, a sizable stone stronghold constructed by Urartu’s ancient kingdom between the 9th and 7th centuries BC.

DAY 5    VAN – DOGUBEYAZIT

We will depart for the Iranian border town of Dogubeyazit. The Ararat Mountain’s beauty will be seen to us from a distance. Then, in the late afternoon, we shall stroll around Kars’ bazaars to experience the Eastern ambiance.

DAY 6    DOGUBEYAZIT - KARS

DAY 7    KARS – ERZURUM

Visit the Grand Mosque of Erzurum by driving from Kars to Erzurum in about 2 hours and 50 minutes. The mosque is designed in the traditional Seljuk pre-Ottoman rectangular style. Visit the Ifte Minareli Medrese (Twin Minaret Madrasa), a late Seljuk architectural landmark in Erzurum City. The Twin Minaret Madrasa, which was built as a theological institution a few years before 1265, gets its name from the two fluted minarets that top its imposing façade.

DAY 9    TRABZON – AMASYA – SAMSUN

We will go to the ancient town of Amasya in the morning since it was crucial to the founding of the Republic of Turkey during the time of transition after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. This village, which is sandwiched between two tall mountains, is well known for the royal rock tombs it has carved into the sides of the mountains. The Maidens Museum, the Clock Tower, the Amasya Tower, a stroll along the Green River, the Statue of Strabon, the History Master, and the Amasya wooden homes will all be on our itinerary as we explore the city. DAY 11    SIVAS – HATTUSA – CAPPADOCIA

On Day 11, we will go to Hatussa, which served as the late Bronze Age capital of the Hittite Empire. Within the expansive Kzlrmak River loop, its remains are located close to the present-day Turkish town of Boazkale. In 1986, Hattusa was included on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. The 4000-year-old Hittite City of Hatussa with its Lion Gate, magnificent Temple, and several outstanding structures may be seen there.

Then, take a trip to Yazilikaya, where two rock clefts—one to the northeast and the other to the east—form open-air galleries naturally. The Hittites revered this location. It was created within a cluster of rock outcrops and had two primary chambers. The Hittite pantheon’s gods are shown in the rock reliefs of Chambers A and B, which are still very spectacular today. Drive forward to Cappadocia.

We will see Goreme Town and Goreme View Point, home to the famed Uchisar Citadel and cave churches with exquisite carvings in huge rocks. Before spending the night in Cappadocia, explore the Pigeon Valley, which is home to several artificial pigeon homes, and pay a visit to the Turquoise Factory. We will take an evening flight to Istanbul.

DAY 1    ARRIVAL ISTANBUL AIRPORT - SANLIURFA – MARDIN

After arriving at the Istanbul Airport, you will take another flight to the Sanliurfa GAP Airport located in the city center of Sanliurfa. Your arrival at the Sanliurfa GAP Airport will be followed by a visit to Balikligol, which holds great historical and religious significance. Balikligol is a pool in Sanliurfa that the Jews and Muslims believe to be the place at which Nimrod threw Prophet Abraham into a fire. It is one of the most visited places in Sanliurfa, Turkey, so you should definitely visit it. You will also get to visit the Rizvaniye Mosque and Halil-ur-Rahman Mosque, located near the Balikligol. Enjoy some free time in the Old Bazaar before driving to Mardin and visiting the Mardin City Center, and staying the night there.

DAY 2    MARDIN - DIYARBAKIR – ADIYAMAN

Day 2 starts with taking a drive of around 1.5 hours from Mardin to Diyarbakir. You will get to visit Diyarbakir Ulu Cami (Great Mosque of Diyarbakir), which some Muslim scholars believe to be the fifth holiest place in Islam. Explore the historical Diyarbakir Old City Wall that dates back to the Romans and see the Tigris River, a river that is surrounded by four different countries. Drive to the Kurdish-majority area Adiyaman and visit the 2,134-metre high Mount Nemrut to see the beautiful sunset from the top of the mountain. Enjoy the overnight stay at Adiyaman.

DAY 3    ADIYAMAN – GAZIANTEP

We will drive from Adiyaman to Gaziantep first thing in the morning after breakfast and have a photo stop at the third-largest dam in the world – Ataturk Dam. We will also explore the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, which is the world’s largest mosaic museum in the world. You will get to see the historical Gaziantep Castle, which was built and expanded by 565 A.D. and has some great tea and Turkish Baklava Time, along with free time for shopping at Old Bazaar. The overnight stay will be at Gaziantep.

DAY 4    GAZIANTEP - ADANA – CAPPADOCIA

Day 4 starts with breakfast at the hotel and driving to Adana to visit Sabanci Mosque, the second largest mosque in Turkey, and enjoy the view of the Seyhan River, the longest river in Turkey. We will have a photo stop at Roman Bridge, which is surrounded by ravishing scenery, before driving to Cappadocia to stay the night there.

DAY 5    CAPPADOCIA

You have the option of enjoying an early morning hot air balloon tour at Cappadocia before visiting the carpet factory, where you will see a wide range of famous Turkish carpets. We will visit the Underground City, which is famous for its large area and capacity of up to 20,000 people. Derbent Valley is famous for various unique rock formations, so we will explore it as well before visiting Avanos, the pottery hub of Cappadocia. We will explore Goreme Town and Goreme View Point, which has cave churches and the famous Uchisar Citadel with beautiful designs carved into large rocks. Explore the Pigeon Valley, which has many man-made pigeon houses, and visit the Turquoise Factory before staying the night at Cappadocia.

DAY 1    ARRIVAL AT ISTANBUL AIRPORT – RIZE

Your arrival at the Istanbul Airport will be followed by a 1.5 hours flight to the Trabzon Airport. Visit the Firtina Valley, a steep-sided valley in the Rize district known for having people who rely on a natural living style. You can take some great photos at the Firtina Valley and River and enjoy the stop at the historical Stone Bridge. Explore the famous Tea Garden and have a photo stop at Zil Castle and Palovit Waterfall, which is surrounded by green forest and vibrant hills. Visit the Ayder Plateau, known for clean air and healing hot springs, before traveling back to Rize and staying there for the night.

DAY 2    RIZE – TRABZON

The day will conclude with a visit to the Soumela Monastery, which is a Greek Orthodox monastery located at an altitude of about 1200 meters. We will stay the night at Trabzon.

DAY 3    TRABZON - ORDU – SAMSUN

In Ordu, you will get to enjoy a beautiful view from Boztepe Hill and reach the hill via cable car. We will travel to Samsun, a major Black Sea Port, from Ordu and stay the night there.

Explore the King Rock Tombs, which are rock-carved tombs of varying sizes and date as back as 266 BC. The day will end by traveling to Cappadocia and staying the night at a hotel in Cappadocia.
